Do you need urgent assistance for mental health, domestic violence or sexual assault? 

Wisemind is not an 'acute service'. This means we are generally unavailable outside of business hours. If you require assistance now, please use the links and information below. 

Lifeline 

Lifeline are available via phone, text or online chat. You can call them 24 hours a day, 7 days a week if you feel unable to cope or would just like someone to talk to.

Emergency services

If you or someone you know is experiencing thoughts of death, suicide or self-harm this is a life threatening situation. 

Call triple zero (000) and ask for police and/or ambulance immediately. 

Hospital Emergency Department 

If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health crisis and/or are having thoughts of death, suicide or self-harm please go straight to the Emergency Department of your local hospital. You can also call triple zero (000). 

Sexual assault and domestic violence 

1800 RESPECT is a 24 hour helpline available for people experiencing domestic violence, sexual assault and abuse.

SARC (Sexual Assault Resource Centre) offers a range of free services for people who have had a recent or past sexual assault or sexual abuse experience.
